The battery's often fixed beneath the rear seats, behind the back end of the floor pan and firewall. To run the cable to the battery, it's thread through the rear floor pan, via an opening. The opening will likely be rough around the edges, unfinished metal may wear on these important cables.Protect your cables and battery and prevent a short circuit event, replace your grommet as soon as you see wear. The rubber provides insulation between the cables and metal, so if the wire is ever exposed, the grommet will prevent a live circuit from meeting the vehicle.
