Cast Counterweight Crankshaft (69mm) for 1600cc Aircooled Engines 1961-1998

Cast counterweight crankshaft. 69mm, 8-doweled and heat treated. Fits aircooled 1600cc engines from 1961 to 2003. These cranks are precision ground, micro-polished, nitrided and balanced, and uses stock VW main and rod bearings. Counterweights are used in performance applications because they nullify the reaction caused by the rotation. This is useful because it helps in achieving higher RPM's in an engine, this makes the engine run smoothly and therefor increases engine life.
