This is a perfect product for upgrading your Beetle to have a heated rear window, or for replacing your existing window if it’s scratched, damaged or grown foggy with age.Fits the rear window on VW Beetles built from 1972 to 1979, whether or not they were originally fitted with a heated back window. Due to the size, shape and curvature of this glass, it won’t fit VW Cabriolets. The window has no tint, and the black heating elements are unobtrusive while you’re driving.The glass matches the same dimensions as the original, factory-fitted glass, which makes it simple to replace. Installing this rear window is relatively simple of you’ve got the skills and experience to do so, but we do recommend getting a professional to fit glass if you’re at all unsure.They’ll be able to ensure that the glass and the wiring are installed quickly and safely. If your Beetle wasn’t built with heated rear glass, and you wanted to treat yourselves to a self-warming window, you’ll need an accessory wiring kit: J11703. This will let you add the circuit for the window into your electrics, and comes with six metres of wire, plus terminals, fuses and fuse holders.
