This urethane shift coupler will fit Beetle 1965-1979 and all years of Type 3. The key improvement on this unit is the two inserts for the cage have been made out of urethane so the shifter linkage will be much tighter and responsive. This is a must do upgrade for almost every car out there that uses this late style shift coupler.
