A few of us from the JK Team headed over to Goodwood this weekend for Goodwood Revival, to soak up the sights and sounds of the world-famous event. Nick took some amazing photos, and came back buzzing with excitement and wrote the following for us:
That’s a wrap! Goodwood Revival is over for another year, three days of stepping back in time at the Goodwood Motor circuit.
Revival is always one of my favourite events of the year, there is nothing else quite like it on the motorsport calendar. Not only does it have spectacular racing, but everyone also dresses up in vintage clothing which makes walking around the event feel like a real step back in time.
This year’s event was a tale of two halves, starting with scorching heat and finishing with torrential rain. This made it fantastic for capturing the classic cars in all their glory, but also getting some dramatic wet weather racing photos.
The highlight of the weekend for me was watching all the 911’s battle it out on track, pushed to the limit and sliding around every corner. It was a true test of each driver's race craft. Other things to mention are this year’s tributes to Sir Jackie Stewart, Lotus & Carol Shelby. Each parade consisted of multiple cars in their honour, some cars which are 1 of 1 in the world, quite a spectacular sight! Goodwood Revival is a must-visit event not only for petrolheads but also for the whole family.
