1971 RHD South African Westfalia
Bella is a 1971 South African Right Hand Drive VW Westfalia. Imported to the UK in 2005, she has been with our family for the past nine years. She is pretty much perfect. Mechanically very reliable - the original 1600cc engine runs very well - and very sound bodywork. She has been carefully stored and maintained without compromise. I've tried to keep her as original as possible and avoided unnecessary cosmetics (although I had a new interior fitted in a style to match the look of the original Westfalia interior). She shows signs of her age - as she should - small differences in paint here-and-there, some dents on a panel, a slightly rusty bumper... but these are superficial. And she has her quirks - the original South African number plates on the roof, for example – that make her special. We’ve had some great adventures, including a trip around Europe that was featured in VW Camper and Commercial magazine (July and August editions, 2015), and now she’s ready for more adventures with someone new. She’s has a full service history for the time she’s been in the UK, and a pretty good service history for her early years in South Africa, too. I’ve a big box file of paperwork and receipts for all the care and attention she’s had. Looking for offers in the region of £20,000. Viewing highly recommended!
