1979 T2 Tin Top Bay 2ltr

This is Errol. Our ‘79 bay window tin top. Owned since 2018. Thousands spent since purchase. Completed 2,300 trouble-free miles in 10 days around Scotland. Also various camping holidays around East Anglia. Now tax/MOT exempt. Lots of paperwork included. Always garaged. Interior: Rock n roll bed w/buddy seat with all seatbelts. Completely new, one-off custom made cushions & curtains. Hob, sink & powered cool box stored under rear bench seat. New retro radio/cd/aux. Quickshift w/extension to lever. Rev counter retro fitted. New door cards with JBL speakers. New sun visors. Sports seats. Front & back 12v sockets. 2kg Fire extinguisher. Lots of storage under bench & side cabinet. Foam sound deadening/insulation installed inside body panels. Good, clean headlining with just a couple of small tears. Exterior: Sierra yellow/pastel white paintwork, repainted during part restoration by previous owner, back in 2016. Solid underside. New window rubbers. New door handles. New rear bumper. Front spotlight. 15” Empi mag alloys (inc. spare). Good tyres. Large & small roof rack included. There are a couple of small dings on the bodywork but no major rust. Engine/oily bits: Type 4 2ltr (new from VW Heritage in 2016). No oil leaks. New stainless ‘quiet pack’ exhaust. Twin 38s with new K&N cone filters. Malpassi ‘Filter King’ Fuel Pressure Regulator And Filter. In-line pressure gauge. New fuel lines & filler neck rubber. Electronic ignition. New rear drums, pads, master cylinder 500 miles ago. Good battery. Starter motor occasionally a little slow to engine turn over. Might be on the way out. I’ve just not got around to changing it. Always starts though. Remote alarm & immobiliser.
