Automatic Engine Bay Fire Supression for Your Classic Car
Introducing the Engine Fire Fighter for classic cars: an automatic fire suppression system crafted to protect your cherished vehicle from sudden engine fires.
The Engine Fire Fighter can be fitted to any vehicle, and will automatically trigger in the event of an engine fire, smothering the flames in an eco-friendly gas to extinguish the fire in seconds without leaving a mess.
Classic and vintage engines are often more vulnerable to engine fires, with fuel leaks, degraded wiring, or older carburettor setups, but an Engine Fire Fighter is a simple, fit-and-forget tool to help you enjoy your classic with extra peace of mind.
How Does The Engine Fire Fighter Work?
The Engine Fire Fighter is incredibly simple, and is essentially a flexible, pressurised tube filled with a gas called FE‑36, also known as FM‑200, which is an environmentally friendly, non‑toxic fire extinguishing agent. In the event of a fire, the pressurised tube will rupture and douse your vehicle's engine bay in this gas and smothering the flames in moments.
There's no need for you to do anything, no switches to press and no mad scramble for the fire extinguisher, the Engine Fire Fighter will trigger all by itself when temperatures reach around 120°C and won't leave you with a nasty mess of powder of foam to clean up.
We've conducted several tests on real engines in real vehicles, including this test on a VW T2 Split Screen bus shown in the video below:

Which Size of Engine Fire Fighter is Suitable for My Classic Car?
There are two lengths available of Engine Fire Fighter available - a two metre and three metre version.
We generally recommend the smaller size for vehicles with a small, compact engine bay and the longer option for any vehicles with a bigger space around the engine, since the gas inside the Engine Fire Fighter will need to cover the whole area to smother the flames in the event of an engine fire.
